i should start a new label for " left overs" although i've been neglecting my flowers + foliage of the day. 

one goal i have this year is to actually take photos of my work before they go out the door.

my mother bought me this book. it's chock full yummy recipes for crumpets and not to mention lovely set design.

january through march is our most watched tv time between victor and i. i'm in love with masterpiece theater and he the nba. after his game is over he says " tv's free now to watch your men in top hats" he swears i'd like him better if he'd sport a top hat.

i wasn't going to watch this{ i wanted to read the book first}, but how could i  resist?  mrs. d'urberville's finches, that  tent in the garden!   can't wait till summer so i can finally  set up our raj tent. and maybe then i'll read the book-in my tent.

{ day off }

today i took a much needed break, i've had two weddings back to back, consultations + wedding bids, with xmas too-whew! so i finished up the catcher and the rye, and cleaned the house with this, while i  had a 8o's freak out listing to my favorite songs.here,here here, here,here, here  , here , here,here, here  . photo by paul costello

today is my husband victor's  birthday... i introduced   the young ones to him the other night and now he's hooked! victor used to be a fred perry wearing,  vespa  ridding mod teen -i can't believe he never watched that  bbc show.

no, i'm not talking about these guys . that song makes me think of the 80's in the bay area, on the playground when the boys would break out the card board and start break dancing.

victor bought me the sweetest xmas  gift ever- two little spice finch. i LOVE them to pieces! the boy  simon, thinks he's a little red tale hawk. and francoise the girl, is a total perch hog. he bought a temporary wire cage.  we are on the look out for a bamboo one with little porcelain dishes. like this one.
