{ coco }

coco avant chanel is set to premiere in france next month.
i can't think of any other actress as worthy to play the role than audrey tautou.

on an other note-when my father was visiting we were going through some old family photos.  i came across a photo of this very striking woman pictured with my grandfather,she looked out of place with her elegant frocks. i did not know this but apparently she was his first wife.... a full french women
   {my g-father was french-but my g-mother was choctaw indian }
my dad said his half brother lucien still lives in france. umm...let's go visit your brother!

{ sacramento flowers + delivery }

a bouquet of mine of  anemones + ranunculus in a milk glass urn

Victorian bouquets with meaning

during the victorian era each flower in a bouquet had a secret message  for a lady to decipher...... so romantic!

unless of course  you receive a bouquet of say-butterfly weed, and basil. which basically means you've been dumped: let me go, i hate you.

it was a must for couples to have a reference such as  LANGUAGE OF FLOWERS by kate greenaway.

{ i swear....}

i still do flowers it's just after the husbands injury i've also turned into a taxi driver and not to mention holding the fort down by myself. so when i do have a flower order i don't have time to take photos.......BUT exciting stuff is starting to happen around here and can't wait to update you all. so for now i'm taking this opportunity to do some marketing,  networking + meeting with lovely brides for up and coming weddings.

{living for today }

i finally broke down and hired a maid.....i can't help but feel like less of a woman.
 i know that's silly right?! i mean come on, i have four boys and a five bedroom house plus my own business. it will free up my time to spend with the kids and other projects that i want and need to do. i wonder what my grandmother would of thought!

{ botanical prints }

i'm currently reading about the mitford sisters, the book is quite upsetting- i haven't felt this displeased  with a charter { referring to unity} since i read madame bovary.

this book on the other hand would be lovely to open.
